Script revision Another time in May
Did a little script revision to hopefully make the dialog flow better when animated compared to being read. Recorded my voice “acting” all the pre-viz dialog so I can time it out. Time wise each part of Waking up and getting up should be about 3-5 minutes each when finished which isn’t bad. There is one section though I am trying to get away with changing completely but it’s hard to thing of what to put in its place.

Working on Kay Sometime in early May
Started some serious work on Kay, re engineered from my Kay model from Dead rainbows (yes the characters are named the same Kay DR version is like the ”real” version of anime Kay. Nightwear was all but finished anyway and underwear version was easy but might not get used. Day clothes is proving to be harder and a little boring, the scary thing is I’m saving the dead until last…

Kim’s finished 08/05/08
Finished my first character, finally, everything, all morph targets which took some working as I think I did them asreupwards so they were harder than they should be, a bit of figure tweaking too as the head looked too big for the body and the torso looked too big for the hips and legs, anyways all done done now textured and all, and all three outfits needed to make waking up, nightshirt, clothed and underwear. So now it’s on to kay who shouldn’t take half as long as most of the work can be cannibalised from Kim’s model.

There’s always something to kybosh the whole thing Sometime in April
Rendering .avi’s was completely crippled due to what appeared to be a codec incompatibility, anyway a lot of digging and frustration revealed a fix on the official 3dsmax website so touch wood it stays fixed as I don’t really want to have to render .mov files.

Morphing morphs 08/04/08
Finally some progress, started work ont eh head morphs fro one of the main characters, still a ways to go as the model is only partially textured and those big old anime eyes are very awkward to work around let alogn the big extreme expression I’m trying to create fro that a-typical anime look.
