RPG Project: Demo Game I have always been a big fan of RPG's as a whole and love playing them, especially sprite based "old school" RPG's they have inspired me on many an occasion and after I drew my first RPG comic (way back in 97) I knew that I wanted to turn it into a game of my own at some point in the future. At the time the only way I could foresee this was for it to be made professionally by a games company, (never going to happen) . So after finding a Japanese program called RPG Maker 2000. The program allowed me to begin creating the game myself, from the tile based background graphics, the sprite characters, monsters and battle animations. To the mechanics of the characters levels, EXP points, and story interactions. I took the part of the story I had already created in the comic and expanded upon it. I haven’t included a download for the demo game here as it totals over 150 megs, as due to my enjoyment of animating it also features over 5 minutes worth of fully rendered CG cut scenes to accompany the story, so for now you'll have to make do with these screen grabs.
